Local professional club, North Wales Crusaders, recently confirmed the signings of three players from NWORL and the clubs Reserve side.
Three players from North Wales Origin RL who play their club rugby with the Crusaders “A” team have been signed by North Wales Crusaders on 25th July’s Transfer Day.
Morgan Johnson, Will Mills and Jacob Hitchcox all step up into Anthony Murray’s first-team squad with immediate effect, signing deals until the end of the 2018 season.
Whilst Johnson recently returned from representing Wales students in the Student 4-Nations, both Mills and Hitchcox played in the Wales Under 19’s squad to in Serbia.
Speaking about the signings on transfer day, North Wales Crusaders CEO Andy Moulsdale said: “With today being the last day to get players on board I felt it was important to make sure we are covered in all positions.
“We could have gone out and gone for players from the North West who have played at this level, however, the lads who we have signed have earned this opportunity through the work they’ve put in.
“It’s great for the club to be able to call on young Welsh players who I’ve no doubt will do everything they can to push for a first-team spot.”
